About Us

Austin Tech Happy Hour

Since 2006, the Austin Tech Happy Hour has been the place where people from Austin's technology community have come together to meet, mix, mingle, network and just enjoy each other's company in a casual setting.

There are no presentations, speakers, or agendas, just Austin's entrepreneurial and creative class coming out to share ideas, and discuss the latest trends in technology.

Sponsorship

We allow two sponsors for each event.

Date of the Event

The happy hour runs from 6pm - 8pm on the day of the event, although we find that there are still over 100 people at the venue even at 9pm at night. You will have plenty of time to meet our guests.

Technology Spotlight

Each happy hour we feature a small number of emerging technology companies who are allowed to demonstrate beta-level ideas and concetps, and soon-to-be-released products in order to get feedback and exposure to key technology executives.

Marketing Visibility

We have thousands of technology professionals on our mailing list, lots of fans on our Facebook page, and a vast group on LinkedIn that will all see your brand and messaging as a sponsor of the happy hour.

Event Table

You receive a six foot table and a place to hang a banner right behind your table. Placement is right at the front where all our guests arrive. It's the perfect arrangement to meet and interact with our attendees.

Shared Sponsorship

We allow a maximum of two sponsors per event, who are not industry competitors. We strive for balance in the marketing presence of each company when it comes to marketing materials, giveaways, or promotional products at the event.

Exclusive Sponsorship

An exclusive sponsorship gives you the freedom to "make the event your own." We'll work closely with you on those special touches for the event that will make it a unique, branded experience for your company.

Austin Tech Happy Hour at the W

If your phone hasn't already reminded you, tonight the W will play host to the April edition of Austin Tech Happy Hour. Starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, tech-minded people from around the capitol area will be wearing name tags (as they often do), having a drink (as they often do), and meeting some of the people they have friended, added, and maybe squeezed into a hashtag.

Our annual SXSW kickoff party, traditionally held the Thursday before SXSW Interactive begins, was completely crazy. Over 500 tech folks turned out for a great time of mixing, mingling, and networking before the real craziness began.

Our events are always at the Molotov Lounge in the heart of the "West Sixth" district of downtown Austin. The events begin at 6pm and officially end at 8pm, although it usually lasts a little longer. Valet parking is available for purchase.
